Summary

Dress shirt. A tucked dress shirt dated 1940 (circa). The fabric is of white cotton, plain weave trimmed with starched collar, cuff and tucked front; tie retainer; and eight button holes. Label 'The Carlton' and handwritten 'S.Yorke' and Laundry Marks. Hand and machine sewn.

Provenance

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973
