Summary
Handkerchief case. A handkerchief case dated the 2nd quarter of the 20th century. The fabric is of cream silk twill satin weave and is painted pink, purple, blue, orange, yellow and green. A design of flower sprays includes tulips and fuchsias. Lined with pink silk, plain weave. Hand sewn, wadding at edge of flap.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
