Summary
Bodice. A bodice dated 1910 (circa). Fabric of cream cotton, plain weave open mesh crepe 'chiffon'. Trimmed with cream cotton bobbin needlerun lace edging to form panel; embroidery of green silk twisted button hole stitch, open work seam and running stitch; cream silk edging for elastic. Lined with cream cotton machine net. Hand sewn. Lace and embroidery a later addition, note four hooks and eyes unused.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
