Summary
Dress. A long beaded dress dated 1910 (circa). The fabric is of black silk, plain weave crepe trimmed with gold metal thread bobbin lace; edging of gold metal thread; black cotton machine net, tampoured chain attaching black sequins, gold glass beads, and panels with the design of cartouches. Black cotton machine net, tampoured chain attaching black sequins; needlerun metal thread panel with the design of diagonal lines scattered flower heads. and black silk plain weave, deep hem. Hand and machine sewn, tuck above deep hem. Some of the sequins are dropping.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
