Summary
Skirt fragment. A beaded skirt fragment dated 1900 (circa). The fabric is of black cotton machine net trimmed with cream cotton machine lace; silver sequins; silver beads, all applied with tamboured chain stitch. Design of vertical curved lines from waist to scalloped hem line with flower motifs. Opening centre back, small train alteration to shorten. Hand sewn. Tear on one side. Fragile. Some of the sequins are dropping.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
