Summary
Child's smock. A child's silk smock dated 1908 (circa). The fabric is of cream silk, plain weave with embroidery of cream silk, smocking, feather and stem stitch. Trimmed with six buttons and three hooks and eyes. Lined with cream cotton, satin weave. Hand sewn. Worn by either Simon IV or Philip III.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
