Summary
Waistcoat. A black waistcoat dated 1952 of black wool with a raised nap and trimmed with four pockets; six buttons and button holes; and a strap and buckle, marked 'British Made'. The lining is of a white silk twill weave; a black silk twill weave; and a black cotton twill weave and there is a label marked 'Hall Brothers Ltd. Oxford' and handwritten 'Yorke Lodge Esq'.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
