Summary
Sari. A navy blue silk, plain weave crepe sari length dated c1950 embroidered with gold and silver metal thread and red silk chain stitch worked with an aul or tambour. The sari has a scalloped border design with vermacelli ground flowers and ribbons, and a main field scattered medallions. There are two selvedges and two ends cut.
