Summary
Baby's gown. A white cotton, plain weave baby's long gown dated 1863 (circa). Embroidered with white cotton, satin whipping button hole and couching, cut and pulled work with needle lace insertions. Design of bodice and front panel; gradated flowers and leave notifs from hem to waist and on bodice. Trimmed with white cotton needlerun lace; and two buttons. Hand sewn.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
