Summary
Dress lounge jacket. A black wool dress lounge jacket with a raised nap dated 1930. It is trimmed with black silk 'grosgrain' revers; ten black buttons; a coathanger; three pockets; and one inside breast pocket. It is lined with an ivory and blue silk twill weave woven stripe; a black silk twill weave; and a black cotton twill weave. There is a label embroidered with 'J.H. Davies Telephone 1412./ Nicholas St. Chester.' Handwritten 'S. Yorke Esq. June 1930'. The jacket is hand and machine sewn.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
