Summary
Dress lounge jacket. A black dress lounge jacket dated 1920 (circa) of black wool with a raised nap. It is trimmed with two black silk woven buttons; black silk 'grosgrain' revers; a coathanger; two hip pockets; and one inside pocket. The jacket is lined with a black cotton satin weave, padded in places; a black cotton twill weave; and a white cotton satin weave with a lilac printed stripe. It is hand and machine sewn and has a label embroidered 'S.Yorke'.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
