Summary
Morning Coat. A morning coat dated February 1929. The fabric is of black wool, raised nap, and the coat is trimmed with ten black buttons; one breast pocket; one inside breast pocket; and two tail pockets. Lined with black silk twill weave ridge, padded in places; and ivory, blue, black and grey silk twill weave woven stripe. A brown cotton twill weave label 'J.H. Davies/Tele 1412/Nicholas St. Chester.' and handwritten 'S Yorke Esq. Feb. 1929.'

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
