Cloth cap. A black and white wool twill, diagonal tweed cloth cap dated 1940 (circa). Lined with dull gold silk and cotton twill ridge padded. There is a printed label reading 'Hart Davies & Son, Eastgate Row, Chester'.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
