Summary
Bowler hat. A black wool raised nap bowler dated 1960 (circa). Trimmed with black silk 'petersham' ribbon and as edging. Lined with cream leather, cream silk cord and cream taffeta silk. There is a stuck on label reading 'NYL', and a printed label reading 'Lock and Co. Hatters. St. James Street London [...]'.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
