Summary

Chair seat cover. Cover of plain weave linen printed red, pink, blue, yellow (over printed for green), with a repeat of 52 x 38 cm of vertical bands of flower sprays tied with ribbons and twisted ribbons of lace on a sprigged ground and undyed baste fibre printed blue. It is hand sewn to a canvas backing over horsehair.

Provenance

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
