Summary

Virgin Mary. A white marble statuette of 'The Virgin Mary of the Immaculate Conception', 19th century. She is wearing vestments, her arms crossed before her, her foot resting on a dragon.

Provenance

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973. Wedding gift to Simon and Victoria Yorke in 1846 from Charles Birch-Reynardson.
