Summary
Organ. An American organ by W. Bell and Co. Guelph, Ontario, in a stained mahogany case. It has fretwork designs in open panels and a carved feature above the pedals flanked by pairs of turned columns. Tthe pedelsare covered in 19th century, machine woven Brussels carpet.

Inscription in gilt gothic lettering above keyboard: W. Bell & Co. Guelph, Ont.Nine draw-stops labelled L to R: Viola; Diapason; Dulcet; Octave Coupler; Vox Humana; Forte; Dulciana; Melodia; Vox celeste. Compass FF to f3 Width of keyboard 833, standard measurement (three octaves) 484. Casework of various stained and grained woods with fretted, turned, and incised ornament. (The instrument is installed below an empty pipe organ case so that the combination gives the superficial impression of a working pipe organ. The pipe organ front, consisting of a central ‘tower’, flanking ‘flats’ and side ‘towers’, is of classical 18th outline but incorporates gothic details. The 21 dummy pipes are of gilded wood, in the pattern 3-6-3-6-3. The casework is of coniferous wood painted dark brown. Approximate dimensions: width 1900; height 2063; depth 878.)
