Summary
Seashell collection. A small wooden tray with pierced sides containing a cowrie shell (Cypraea), a helmet or bonnet shell (Cassidae), three cockle shells (Cardiidae), four scallop shells (Pectindae), an abalone shell (Haliotidae), two moon or necklace shells (Naticidae).
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
