Summary
Drawing instruments. A part set of drawing instruments contained within a wooden case with a hinged lid and covered in a black varnished material. The label on the lid is marked 'Made by J Troughton At the Orrey next the Globe Tavern In Fleet Street London'. The case contains; two ebony parallel rules of a bar type; an ivory sector; an ivory protractor inscribed 'TROUGHTON LONDON'.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
