Tin toys were manufactured from early 20th century . Firstly in Germany, then spreading to England and France. This merry-go-round with four horses and riders is a charming miniature example.

Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
