Summary
Notepaper box. A box formerly containing notepaper and marked 'Manor House Bond.' Handwritten on the top of the box above the image is 'single & double.' On the bottom is handwritten '1 box double, 1 box single, 200 envelopes, 9 Aug 1939.' The inside of the lid is marked Manuf; W.H. Smith and Son Ltd.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
