Summary
Paint box. A wooden painting box, with a label inscribed 'Box of colours for illuminating and missal painting. George Rowney and Co., London'. The box contains thirteen small glass bottles of colour, five small ceramic palettes, a sponge, a bottle with a cork stopper, and packets of small gold paper cut-outs. (twenty items approx)

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
