One of a pair of horn presentation beakers, with silver rims and shield shaped mounts with the Yorke crest and inscribed By Marchweal Tenantry This cup was presented to/ Simon Yorke, Junr Esqr of Erthig on his attaining his/ majority as a small tribute of sincere respect to commemorate the happy event 1832.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
