Summary
Steamer part. A cylindrical metal container with lid and four drop handles for steaming puddings, hams, etc. with a patent mark 'Geo Fowler, Lee and Co 72 Queens Rd, Reading. Fowler's Patent No 258159'. A tied on metal label reads 'Not to be used for bottling etc'.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
