Summary
A birch and beech, armchair, English/Welsh, late 19th century. The toprail pierced with a handle and above ten turned spindles. The arms downswept and tenoned into the plywood seat, pierce with the design of a star. On ring-turned front legs and outswept rear legs, all joined by pairs of stretchers.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
