Summary
A knife box - One of a pair of Sheraton mahogany veneered knife boxes, with fitted interiors and serpentine front with boxwood and ebony chequered stringing The lid is inlaid with a star in boxwood and ebony and there is a handwritten label inside of lid '6 Table spoons.....' etc.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
