Summary
An elm and beech sea grass-seated chair, East Anglia, circa 1830. With broad bar toprail above three slender splats joined by two pairs of balls. The seat formed from sea grass, and raised on two tapering square-section front legs and square-section rear legs joined by side stretchers, and higher front and rear stretchers.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
