Summary
A stained pine and leather stool, Welsh or English, mid-20th century. The padded, leather-covered rectangular seat, raised on a base of four splayed and tapering square-section legs, joined by foot stretchers. The underside of the seat with pencil inscription: 'T.Cowey. Personal Property. Feb. 1962.' and 'Don't Touch'.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
