Summary
Squab cover. Printed cotton squab cover of cream cotton warp, buff cotton plain weave weft and weft brocading resembling a moire finish, printed in two shades of pink, two shades of red, two shades of green and three shades of blue/green. The design is of roses tied with ribbons; the repeat is incomplete. It is trimmed with faded double two cm cotton braid with a scalloped edge in cream, green and pink and a self fabric frill. It is hand and machine sewn. There is also some brown satin weave cotton.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
