Summary
An ebony-veneered and mother-of-pearl inlaid occasional table, Middle Eastern, early 20th century. Inlaid throughout with lighter hardwood lines and mother-of-pearl panels and shards. The top dished and with six-pointed star and calligraphic centre, the sides of the base pierced with pointed lancet arches forming feet.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
