Summary
A walnut box stool or footstool, English, late 19th century. Of octagonal form, the hinged lid and sides covered in floral tapestry-type needlework, with moulded base rail and on four turned bun feet.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
