Summary
An oak and iron travelling trunk, English, 19th century. Bound throughout with iron straps, with iron carry handles at either end, and with an iron hasp and loop for a padlock. The interior lined with wallpaper.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
