Summary
Chaise longue cover. Chaise longue cover of glazed, plain weave cotton, roller printed in black, grey, pale blue, two shades of turquoise, green, two shades of pink, red and two shades of beige. The design is of naturally drawn flower sprays, including polyanthus and cyclamen on a dotted flower and stem ground. The repeat is 45 cm across the loom width. It is trimmed with one cm wide double braid with cotton and silk stripes and is lined with pink/cream plain weave glazed cotton with white cotton braid and white net. The cover has machine chain stitching, is cut on two sides, edged on two sides and also has later machine stitching. Circa 1860
