Summary
A mahogany washstand, English, circa 1825, by Podmore & Powells of Chester. The rectangular top fitted with a low three-quarter gallery and with two drawers, each with a brass knob handle, in the frieze. Raised on four ball and baluster-turned legs, and turned feet.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
