Summary
A chest of drawers, English, circa 1870, part of a good quality near set of figured walnut bedroom furniture comprising a wardrobe [NT 1147153.1]; a dressing table [NT 1147153.2] and a washstand [NT 1147153.3]. Of figured walnut, and with ebonized moulding and lacquered brass handles. And of two short over two graduated long drawers, the lowest drawer incorporating the plinth. The drawers edged with ebonized mouldings. Each front corner a turned, engaged column with ebonized mouldings to capital and plinth.
