A mahogany-framed chaise longue-part, or day-bed part, English, circa 1825. The back, now removed and kept separately from the chaise-longue. With curving toprail and button-upholstered padding covered in red cotton repp.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
