Summary
A walnut child's or nursing chair, English, mid-19th century. The back and seat are covered in crimson velvet, fixed with metal floral studs. Raised to the front on a pair of baluster- and knop-turned front legs and outswept rectangular-section rear legs, fitted with brass and ceramic castors.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
