Summary
A large needlework footstool, or stool, circa 1890, one of a pair. Of square form, covered in linen canvas stitched with coloured wools and edged with a gimp-type braid. The corners each hung with a tassel, of wood covered in silk. Raised on four brass ball feet.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
