Summary
A mahogany bijouterie table, or display table, English, late 19th/early 20th century. With glazed, hinged lid and four glazed sides, the interior lined with red velvet. Raised on four tapering square section legs with moulded collars and joined by four shaped stretchers centred by a small edge-moulded circular stand. Decorated all-over with carved blind fretwork.
Provenance
Listed in the Tapestry Room in an Inventory of 1967. Given by Philip Yorke III (1905 - 1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
