Summary
Casket. A Regency scarlet boulle casket, inlaid in brass and tortoiseshell; the top with Berainesque figures, the edges with repeating patterns, the sides with foliate scroll pattern. On cast and chased gilt-metal feet.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
