According to Louisa Yorke (1863 - 1951), Facts and Fancies, this table was purchased in 1905 from the widow of Dr Llewellyn Williams of Holt House, Wrexham, together with the mirror which stands above it [NT 1146938], for £10. Thence by descent, and given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
