Summary
A child's cup. One of three cups from a porcelain part child's nursery service, which are decorated with transfer printed nursery rhymes and colour illustrations on a white ground. Each has a green line around the rim. This cup is marked 'BUT WHEN SHE GOT THERE, THE CUPBOARD WAS BARE...etc'.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
