Summary
Lightweight wagon called a spring cart, although it has four wheels, wooden, painted blue and maroon. It is fitted with leaf-spring suspension, as copied on early lorries and motorcars. The Maker is Andrews of Southampton, 1876. Andrews was an 'English and Foreign Carriage Manufactory based in Southampton.' From the provision of internal dividers at a later date, we think it was probably used for harvesting daffodils in the 1920's.
