Summary
Painted surfaces of South Gazebo. In October 2017 the walls, ceiling and dome surfaces were completely repainted with a colour referred to as Hidcote Gazebo Ochre. [Superseded: The interior was entirely re decorated in 1986 by Tom Helme, who painted the dome and corner quadrants red and stencilled the walls with a white snowflake motif on a light blue ground. The window and door frames were painted with a trompe l’oeil wood graining effect. The dome was originally a strong yellow distemper; wall colour unknown (replastered in 1986).] The roll moulding with Chinoiserie design is the only exposed original scheme.
