Portrait miniature, watercolour painting on vellum, King Charles II (1630-1685) by studio of David des Granges (London 1611 – after 1670). Oval. Head and shoulders portrait, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, in a white and gold shirt, steel cuirass, white lace collar with tassels, riband of the Garter. Light brown eyes, long black hair, small black moustache, cream-coloured face, aged about 25. Plain grey background.
