Summary
Portrait miniature, watercolour on vellum, Princess Henrietta Anne Stuart, Duchess of Orléans (‘Minette’) (1644–1670) attributed to David des Granges (London 1611 – after 1670). Head and shoulders portrait of a young woman turned to left, gazing at the spectator, in a yellow dress and clustered pearl brooch, pearl necklace and ear-drop, blue cloak or riband (? Cordon Bleu) over her right shoulder. Brown eyes with sidelong glance, long black hair in ringlets, pale face, modelled with woolly stipple. Slate blue background.
