Summary
An ash wood staff with silver knob engraved with a circular buckled belt lettered 'honi soit qui mal y pense' surrounding a shield having a lion rampant on the left and a crown on the right, the crown having two stars above it and one below. The whole is surmounted by a ducal coronet. The arms are those of the Duke of Lauderdale impaling those of Tollemache.
