Summary
Marble, Chimneypiece, with bolection moulding, Marble Dining Room, Ham House. A bolection moulded fire surround of white marble veined brown with an orange patina. Plain Delft tiles around the cheek area. The hearth is of similar marble. Pinewood moulded mantle, painted and hand grained to look like ?oak with carved and gilded acanthus leaves and festoons of fruit and flowers on either side hanging by ribbons and bows. Surmounting mantel is a central panel containing an inset painting of a gardener presenting Charles II with a pineapple.
