Summary
A miniature painted wooden mask of a Hindu deity, probably Sri Lankan. Carved as a smiling face with large protruding black eyes, bared teeth and pointed red and yellow hair, flanked by two green and orange flowerheads.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Ernö Goldfinger (1902-1987) and Ursula Ruth Blackwell, Mrs Ernö Goldfinger (d.1991), formally acquired in 1994.
