Summary
An envelope filled with thread remnants; printed 'Chatsworth Chesterfield' on the adhesive flap, it has a handwritten note on the front which reads 'odd pieces from work E.D,' and has pin holes on both sides. This envelope contains a bundle of 'Pearsall's "Mallard Floss,"' in gold, a small amount of pale grey floss silk wrapped around a business card, a bundle of blue and chartreuse green silk thread, a piece of needlepoint canvas, and a fragment of paper, printed on one side 'Holker Hall Cark-in-Cartmel, Lancashire,' and on the other side, pieces of thread have been pinned with numbers written below, perhaps referring to the colour codes.
